The Creston Valley Farmers’ Market is looking for a (interim) Farmers Market Manager
Who are we looking for?
Are you bright, competent and dynamic? Excited about local food? Do you love to put on
events? Do you thrive on details and have excellent organization skills?
The Farmers’ Market will soon be launching its summer season. To lead this essential service,
we are looking for an outgoing, friendly and rule loving person. The Market Manager is a selfstarter
who works independently and is an excellent communicator.
The Market Manager is responsible for the weekly operation of the Farmers’ Market which includes
coordination and communication with vendors and then being present every Saturday
to host the Market. This is a 4-month position at 25 – 30 hours a week and can be extended to
6 or 8 months.
Qualifications of the Market Manager
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide and maintain the stability of the market
- Ability to liaise with a variety of different groups of people
- Reliable and accountable
- Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPress, Canva, Formidable
and additional computer software as needed

As a member of the Creston Valley Food Action Coalition (FAC) team, you will work with the
FAC and Harvest Share Coordinators and the FAC Board.
Who are we?
The Creston Valley Food Action Coalition (CVFAC) is focused on building awareness around
and access to food in our region. We manage two long standing projects – the Creston Valley
Farmers’ Market and Harvest Share. For 2020, we are actively working to figure our how best to respond to food access needs of the Creston Valley.
