It is definitely fall in the Valley now, and with snow on the mountain tops, it almost feels more like winter than anything else! Last weekend’s Farmers’ Market was a small one, but a few brave vendors stuck out the early morning wind gusts and the snow. I know I was so happy to see all the local shoppers coming out to support the Market and shop local!! We have two more outdoor markets this year, on October 5th and October 12th, and then we’ll be moving indoors to the Creston Community Centre for the winter.

This forecast for Saturday, October 5th, is calling for clouds and 12 degrees, so it should be a nice day to come out and load up on soup ingredients before curling up indoors for the evening. (Last weekend, I got all the fixings for my grandmother’s Ukrainian Borscht recipe, and finally finished off the pot yesterday, so I’m eager to restock!).

Vendors at this week’s market include:

Dragenfly Bags
The Peppered Pig
Maggie’s Creations
