It’s been a busy month! I have settled into my office at the Chamber, but am working very limited hours (5-10 hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday). The whiteboard outside the office door usually indicates my next office hours, or by appointment.
New directional and parking sandwich boards will be done soon. I am working with the Chamber and Town on other banners and signage for the market.
I am working on a couple of initiatives to attract more families and kids to the market. The first is a joint marketing plan from the BC Association of Farmers’ Market, called “It’s Better at the Farmers’ Market.” I’ll be sending out the details as soon as we have them! The second initiative is a “Baby & Tot Play Area” which will provide a shady area for parents and small children to enjoy.
A partnership between Cresteramics “Unique Teens” summer day program and the Farmers’ Market to paint a mural on the concrete wall by the stairwell is in draft proposal form. Expect updates in the near future!
Lastly, welcome to all our new and returning vendors. This season is shaping up to be a great one!
